Routeway to Support Work

Through the delivery of the Skills Support for Employment (SSE) contract, Employment Links Partnership (ELP), in conjunction with EDUK8 and Rochdale based support centre, Recovery Republic, would like to invite referrals for the forthcoming Routeway into Support Work programme, and details are as follows:

Routeway dates: Monday 6 April 2020 – Friday 26 June 2020.

Monday 6 April 2020 – Friday 17 April  - learners will attend 10 days at ELP centre to undertake a mix of sector related modules including eLearning and a blend of bite size relevant learning.

Venue: Employment Links Centre, 99-101 Drake Street, Rochdale, OL16 1PZ

The Routeway consists of the following:

Mon 20 April to Wednesday 3 June 3 Days per week for 6 weeks (Mon- Tue – Wed 9.30am-2.30pm) ), including 1 week off for school half term holidays  – accredited provision where 7 related qualifications will be achieved.

Venue: Recovery Republic, 63 York Street, Heywood, OL10 4NR

The Qualifications are as follows:

NCFE     Level 1 Award in Stress Awareness
CACHE  Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness
NCFE     Level 1 Award in Alcohol Awareness
NCFE     Level 1 Award in Sexual Health Awareness
NCFE     Level 1 Award in Awareness of Substance Misuse 
NCFE     Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
HABC     Award in Awareness of Dementia

Mon 8 June to Fri 26 June 15 days’ work experience in a support work setting with a provider in Rochdale, providing vital training and experience. (Flexible hours around learner availability).

Travel expenses will be provided if required.

The most recent cohort who have recently completed this Routeway have provided phenomenal feedback about the content of the course and the delivery of the support. 100% of attendees have commenced very high quality work experience, with some commenting “it has been life changing” – this Routeway is in high demand and we recommend referrals are made quickly. 

To be eligible for the training support, you will be unemployed, 16+ and not in full-time education, have a National Insurance number and have appropriate proof of ID to work in the UK.
