Expressions of Interest are now open to be part of the Live Well Leadership Collaborative Cohort 2, June 2026 - Rochdale North and Pennines
This isn’t just another leadership programme, it’s about taking tangible action in communities to shape the future of Live Well and prevention in your neighbourhood.
It will bring together leaders from different sectors to shift system barriers by working on real life challenges.
Live Well is Greater Manchester’s movement for community-led health and wellbeing. It is led by communities and supported by public services. The Live Well Leadership Collaborative is an opportunity to invest in confident, capable and connected leaders who can lead across sectors, and drive forward prevention in Rochdale Borough’s neighbourhoods.
Expressions of Interest are now being welcomed: Apply now to be part of the programme
The 9-month programme is designed to bring together leaders from across Rochdale Borough to tackle real challenges, break down system barriers, and drive prevention-focused change. Alongside another VCFSE and system leaders from your neighbourhood, you will develop a ‘system-shifting experiment’ to explore how we can progress Live Well, grow preventative approaches, and address system barriers.
Over the course of the 9-month programme, leaders will be provided with a range of tailored support, coaching, provocations, training, webinars and networking opportunities. This is an opportunity to build your local relationships and influence to make meaningful change, and grow community power and community wealth in your neighbourhood.
Rochdale Borough is committed to enabling VCFSE leaders to participate fully in the programme, so will be offering £3,000 to successful organisations to fund their time, headspace and expenses.
In the first Rochdale cohort, leaders from Rochdale South, Middleton and Heywood took part. For this cohort we are looking for leaders from Rochdale North (Central Rochdale, Healey, Norden) and Pennines.
The Programme in Rochdale
The Programme in Rochdale will comprise three cohorts, each made up of two VCFSE Leaders and one System Leader. Together, these teams will identify a challenge, co-create solutions, and lead change in their community.
Rochdale South: Addressing health inequalities in highly marginalised communities
Middleton: Amplifying the Live Well story of organisations working in communities through research
Heywood: Strengthening community based signposting in Heywood, building on assets
Rochdale Cross-Borough Group: Developing meaningful representation of VCFSE leadership in commissioning
What’s on offer for Leaders?
Each Leader will receive £3,000 to fund their role (for the 9 month duration of the programme), and collectively, the three teams will have access to a share of an Innovation Fund to bring their projects and ideas to life.
