Grants awarded from the Rochdale Drug and Alcohol Diversity Programme
Thanks to funding from Rochdale Borough Council Public Health we were able to fund two local VCFSE organisations to lead one of two small programmes of work that will complement this plan:
- Programme 1: Youth Community Voices
- Programme 2: Culturally Informed Resources & Campaigns
Projects funded (Year/Round info):
| Member Organisation | Amount Awarded | Investment Projects |
| Crescent Community Radio | £8,928 | Programme 1: Our idea is to use community radio, trusted presenters and published materials to engage those hard-to-reach residents of Rochdale who live with drug and alcohol abuse. |
| The Salik Project | £9,000 | Programme 2: This project focuses on strengthening and coordinating culturally informed drug and alcohol awareness resources for South Asian communities in Rochdale. Rather than creating large volumes of new material, we will review what already exists, identify gaps in messaging and accessibility, and work directly with residents to co-produce a small, focused set of culturally appropriate resources and campaign materials. |
