Since September 2021, two dozen people have been meeting to change the story of poverty in Oldham for good. They include from residents with experience of poverty and hardship, as well as those with the power, authority and influence to do something about it.

Starting out with their stories, and understanding each others perspectives, they've built up a rich picture of the experience of poverty in Oldham - and what we can do about it. At this event, you are invited as someone else with a stake in the story of Oldham to discuss the ideas which have emerged and how we all make them happen. Read more here

What is the event about?: Sharing where they are up to so far so others can share how they can help make them happen.

Who is the audience?: Anyone with a stake in poverty in Oldham – community members and leaders who are most closely connected to those experiencing poverty, professionals working for public and charitable services, private businesses and individuals who want to see a thriving Oldham.

How do I invite them?: You can forward this text, or copy/paste the image here into a new message saying something like ‘I’ve been working on this since last year and we have some really strong ideas for how to address poverty in Oldham. Would be great if you can make it after work on Monday 11th July to hear a bit about where we’re up to”. If you want to provide more context of our work you can also include the ‘mid-point review’ attached. If you want to share on social media, you can use the hashtag #OldhamPTC.
