Oldham Household Support Fund - Cost-of-Living-Crisis
The purpose of this fund was to provide a flexible, cash-first approach to meeting residents' emergency needs before financial challenges escalated into crisis. It was specifically aimed at individuals and communities for whom support offered through existing structured systems was often less trusted, less accessible, or less appropriate.
The Fund invested directly in Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) groups and organisations who are working closely with individuals and households in Oldham who are at risk of crisis due to the adverse impact of the cost-of-living crisis. All at risk households should be considered in determining access to support including:
- Older adults
- Communities who experience racial inequalities
- People experiencing multiple disadvantage (e.g. a combination of substance misuse, poor mental health, history of offending etc.)
- People with no recourse to public funds
- People with disabilities & learning disabilities
- Low-income households.
Provided support with the following:

- Emergency energy or water bills/costs/oil filled radiators/electric blankets etc.,
- Warm clothing & shoes, school uniforms,
