Six local food projects pitch for their share of £50,000 in funding for ideas that support long-term solutions to food poverty in Oldham.

At the Oldham Food Security Challenge live pitching event, Stir To Action will be awarding financial support to inspiring local food projects and initiatives that help create a food system that better serves local people.

Six Oldham-based organisations have been selected to share £50,000 in start-up and scale-up grants and mentoring for their food enterprises, as they put forward ideas for effective responses to local food insecurity, focusing on long-term change, social impact, and increasing employment in the local food sector.

Now Stir To Action are turning to the public to decide how the £50,000 funding pot is distributed to the groups.
