We are thrilled to announce that NEON (Networking in East Oldham Neighbourhoods) have been awarded our Quality in Action Award.
NEON is a community group network made up of community groups who work together to improve communities by providing community services, groups and activities to the East Oldham neighbourhoods, communities and residents.
"We’re proud to have achieved the Quality in Action Award. It confirms that NEON’s approach is professional, well-organised, and aligned with recognised sector standards. It affirms the high level commitment we put into supporting our local community.
The award offers valuable external assurance that NEON meets recognised quality sector standards in areas such as governance, safeguarding, finance, health and safety etc. This strengthens our credibility, supports partnership and collaborative development, and helps us continue improving the way we work.
It’s a constructive and worthwhile process. The framework helps you look carefully at your internal policies, procedures and practices.
Thank you to Adele Thomson of Action Together (our community development officer) for her support with facilitating the process, and to our NEON team of trustees and volunteers for their outstanding ongoing contributions." - NEON
Quality in Action Award
Our Quality in Action Award is a recognised framework for voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations working across Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside to prove their impact. The award recognises outstanding commitment to safeguarding, quality assurance and continuous improvement and is an independent, local seal of approval which publicly demonstrates to local commissioners, funders, beneficiaries and other stakeholders that your organisation delivers quality activities and services.
How can my organisation apply for the Quality in Action Award?
You'll work alongside one of our dedicated Development Officers to meet criteria that ensures your organisation has the right things in place, with practical advice, resources and support to help you develop the policies and procedures that are right for you. The QiAA is free and open to groups of any size. By achieving the award you'll be able to demonstrate to local commissioners, funders, beneficiaries and other stakeholders that you are delivering quality activities and services.
