Aims/priorities: The Music Export Growth Scheme is a partnership between the Department for Business and Trade, the Department for Media Culture and Sport and the UK music sector represented by the BPI. The Scheme is managed by BPI as the 'Accredited Trade Organisation'. The Music Export Growth Scheme provides match-funded grants to UK-registered independent music companies to support overseas marketing activity. It is intended for small to medium-sized enterprises seeking to expand the international reach of their artists and increase commercial opportunities in global markets. The programme focuses on helping companies strengthen their business growth by supporting targeted campaigns that introduce UK music projects to new territories and build sustainable international careers for their artists.
Who can apply: The programme is aimed at UK-based SME music companies - including labels, publishers and management firms - that are working with artists who have already enjoyed commercial success in the UK, and who are now planning global expansion.
Grant amount: Grants ranging from £5,000 to £50,000 are available. The programme can contribute a maximum of 50% of the necessary costs.
