Rochdale Community Warehouse received a generous donation this week from a local food processing factory in Rochdale. Richard Whittaker Ltd, donated 3000 sachets of bread flour packaged in 220g sachets.

Sue Rigby of Richard Whittaker explains ‘The sachets were packed off for one of their customers and they have now “shelved” the job so the company approached the Community Warehouse to help get it distributed to local food pantries and clubs. Wheat flour is in short supply at the moment because of the dreadful war in the Ukraine and prices are increasing all the time so we hope this donation will help lots of communities in the Borough.
