Aims/priorities: This programme is provided by Aberystwyth Innovation and Enterprise Campus and funded by the Dick Lawes Legacy Fund. The LEAP programme provides funding to entrepreneurs and early-stage enterprises in the food or animal feed sector to help them achieve proof of concept, foster collaborations, and bring innovative products or services to market.
The programme is focused not only on providing funding but also on achieving measurable outcomes through participants' involvement. Its objectives include:
- Entrepreneurship: Helping early-stage ideas develop into validated projects.
- Tangible Impact: Enabling recipients to make a meaningful difference and progress their ambitions.
- Collaboration: Fostering a network of innovators and encouraging collaboration between participants.
- Further Investment: Positioning projects to secure additional funding and investment within 12 months of completion.
- Commercialisation: Supporting the creation of new business ventures and the development of plans to launch new products or services.
- IP Protection: Supporting entrepreneurs to fully protect and understand their intellectual property.
Who can apply: Entrepreneurs and businesses less than 12 months old can apply.
Grant amount: Grant funding of between £30,000 and £50,000 is available.
