Job: Gambling Harms Education Practitioner

We have an exciting opportunity for a Gambling Harms Education Practitioner to join TOGS Mind on a fixed-term basis. Reporting to a Project Manager, the Gambling Harms Education Practitioner will play a key role in developing and delivering preventative mental health and wellbeing initiatives focused on reducing gambling-related harms among children and young people aged 8-25.

Working in partnership with schools, colleges, youth settings and community organisations, you will deliver engaging psycho-educational workshops, lessons and assemblies that increase awareness of gambling-related harms, online gaming risks and the impact of reward-based systems. You will help young people develop their understanding of the risks associated with gambling behaviours, while promoting positive mental health, emotional wellbeing and informed decision-making.

What you will bring to TOGS Mind:

To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with a passion for improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people, alongside the ability to build positive and meaningful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have experience of working with children, young people and/or families, delivering group-based activities, workshops or educational sessions, and engaging effectively with diverse communities. 

You will possess excellent communication and presentation skills, a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and the ability to identify emerging needs and respond appropriately. A collaborative, proactive and reflective approach is essential, together with a commitment to inclusion, early intervention and empowering the voices of young people.
