Homeless Friendly is a registered charity working to improve access to healthcare and services for people experiencing homelessness. We work with GP practices, pharmacies, dental practices, opticians, local authorities and community organisations to ensure that people experiencing homelessness are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.
Job Purpose
The Homeless Friendly Coordinator will support the day-to-day running of the charity, helping to deliver training, manage accreditation activities, coordinate volunteers, maintain communications and support organisations to become Homeless Friendly.
The role will play an important part in ensuring that the charity delivers high-quality services, maintains effective systems and provides excellent support to partner organisations.
Key Responsibilities
Administration and Coordination
- Manage incoming emails, telephone enquiries and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate electronic and manual records.
- Support trustee meetings and prepare reports when required.
- Ensure data is managed in accordance with GDPR requirements.
Accreditation and Engagement
- Support organisations through the Homeless Friendly pledge and accreditation process.
- Maintain relationships with accredited organisations.
- Develop links with community groups, healthcare providers and voluntary organisations.
- Promote Homeless Friendly at meetings, events and networking opportunities
Training and Awareness
- Support delivery of Homeless Friendly training sessions.
- Coordinate training bookings and attendance records.
- Assist with reviewing and updating training materials.
- Issue certificates and maintain training databases.
Communications
- Support website updates and social media activity.
- Produce newsletters, blogs and promotional content.
- Assist with press releases and awareness campaigns.
Volunteers
- Support recruitment, induction and engagement of volunteers.
- Maintain volunteer records and communications.
- Assist with volunteer training and development.
Impact and Reporting
- Record activity and outcomes.
- Support monitoring and evaluation processes.
- Produce quarterly impact reports and case studies.
