Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale Circle (HMR Circle) believe that people can be each others' solution, and back it up every day, week and month by helping each other out with life's practical bits and pieces. They are formed as a Community Interest Company, a not for profit organisation, and continue to grow from strength to strength, constantly refining and adapting the original concept and ideas to give the best possible service to their Members.
"At Circle we pride ourselves on delivering the best possible service for Older People. We do this by putting in the best possible systems and structures, receiving the Quality in Action Award validates this strategy and highlights a lot of the unseen hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
We will use this award as we showcase our services, and in particular when we are tendering for new pieces of work or applying for grants. This forms part of what makes us a sustainable and growing organisation.
As an organisation we would encourage other groups, no matter how big or small, to work towards gaining the Quality in Action Award. It shows you are a well run and governed group, which places the wellbeing of those who you support and work with at the centre of everything you do.
Although we are very much a team here at Circle, special thanks must go to Fiona, our Administrator who worked incredibly hard to ensure we dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't' to be able to submit a first class submission. "
Mark Wynn, Director

"We are thrilled to have achieved the Quality In Action Award!
We now have validation that we are a quality organisation and are committed to maintaining high standards of practice. The process was challenging, but helped us evaluate all our policies and processes to ensure we were both compliant and progressive in our approach to the services we offer
Having the award demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement and hopefully it will show our funders and partners that we are always looking to better what we do.
The support from Uzma from Action Together has been instrumental in helping us achieve the award and we would like to thank her for her support. I would encourage other organisations to undertake the award process as it really helps you to focus on improvement."
Fiona Bowker, Administrator

Quality in Action Award
Our Quality in Action Award is a recognised framework for voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations working across Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside to prove their impact. The award recognises outstanding commitment to safeguarding, quality assurance and continuous improvement and is an independent, local seal of approval which publicly demonstrates to local commissioners, funders, beneficiaries and other stakeholders that your organisation delivers quality activities and services.
How can my organisation apply for the Quality in Action Award?
You'll work alongside one of our dedicated Development Officers to meet criteria that ensures your organisation has the right things in place, with practical advice, resources and support to help you develop the policies and procedures that are right for you. The QiAA is free and open to groups of any size. By achieving the award you'll be able to demonstrate to local commissioners, funders, beneficiaries and other stakeholders that you are delivering quality activities and services.
