HMCTS Digital Support Service Fund

Aims/priorities: The objectives of the fund are to:

  • Deliver support for users to resolve the multiple barriers that prevent digitally excluded people from accessing HMCTS online services, enabling access to justice for all.
  • Deliver a service that reaches users that require digital support. This includes 'hidden' users and harder to reach groups.
  • Mitigate indirect discrimination as a result of the digitalisation of HMCTS services and to comply with Equality Act 2010 requirements.

Funding will be split across 11 regions in England and Wales. Third sector organisations will be able to apply for one or more areas.

Who can apply? Registered charities can apply.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be able to provide a network of centres to deliver this service locally. This could be through larger organisations, through partnership working or through funding secondary grantees.
  • Be based in England or Wales
  • Have a network of delivery centres that provide coverage for one or multiple regions: England (South East, South West, London, East of England, East Midlands, West Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber, North East, North West), Wales and Scotland.

Grant amount: It is expected that up to 11 grants will be awarded, with one grant per region.

Application process: Organisations will initially need to register their interest by following the instructions on the 'How to Apply' section on the 'Find a Grant' website.

They will then have access to the competition documentation, which includes full details of the competition and grant structure.
