Heywood Pride in Place Capital Grant

Aims/priorities: As part of Heywood Pride in Place, which is working with the local community to shape a long-term vision for the town from new investment and housing to jobs, green spaces, and better transport, Action Together have set up the Heywood Pride in Place Capital Grants programme. It will support the sector’s resilience and enable VCFSE organisations that are locally rooted and active in Heywood to contribute positively to the Heywood Plan. Grants are available for capital expenditure on physical spaces in Heywood where people come together.

The aim of the fund is to support capital expenditure on physical community spaces in Heywood where people come together and that enable the lives of Heywood residents to be improved.

Applications should be for projects that meet one or more of the following priorities:

  • Thriving Places: create attractive spaces and opportunities to meet, play, learn, visit and for personal growth
  • Stronger Communities: build on our strong community spirit, rich heritage and culture, and ensure all members of the community feel safe
  • Taking Back Control: improve the aspirations of all residents through improved access to training and employment within a thriving local economy

Who can apply?  You are formally constituted, Incorporated and/or charities commission/companies house registered, or your group is an exempted charity such as a place of worship.

Grant amount: Grants up to £30,000 or £185,000 are available.

Application process: There is a two-stage application process for this fund.

Submit a short Expression of Interest (EOI) and an indicative budget any time before Monday 30 November, you can access the Expression of Interest form here.
