GM Nature Network Grants

Aims/priorities: 

The Greater Manchester Nature Network Grant is designed to support progress towards the ambitions of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy, by giving small grants to charitable and third sector organisations to create more wildlife-rich land with the GM Nature Network. The GM Nature Network Grant is a standalone grant through working with marginalised groups whose needs are not being met by existing services.

The primary aim of the GM Nature Network Grant is to support charitable and third sector organisations to restore or create wildlife-rich land within nature recovery opportunity areas of the Greater Manchester Nature Network. To contribute towards the Target 3 of the GM Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

Small grants will be available for charitable and third sector organisations for:

  • Habitat creation and restoration on poor quality or degraded land in the GM Nature Network (opportunity areas);
    and
  • Enabling works that will support the future habitat restoration, enhancement and creation on new sites in the GM Nature Network (opportunity areas).

Who can apply:  

  • Registered charities, including Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs)
  • Community Interest Companies (CICs)
  • Social Enterprises or Community Benefit Societies

Amount

  1. Habitat restoration and creation grant (maximum grant £30,000).
  2. Enabling grants to support land to progress towards becoming wildlife-rich (maximum grant £5,000).
