Electrical Safety Fund

Aims/priorities: In response to the cost-of-living crisis and the likelihood of electricity safety being compromised by financial concerns, the Electrical Safety Fund, provided and administered by Electrical Safety First, will help fund electrical safety initiatives through partnerships working at a local level.

This fund aims to support projects that focus on tackling risks associated with electrical products, increasing the public's awareness of electrical safety, and promoting changes in behaviour to keep people safe in their homes.

Who can apply: Charities, community interest companies (CICs), trusts, public bodies, and registered not-for-profit organisations that help those who are most vulnerable to electrical risk and injury can apply.

Priority will be given to organisations that meet the following criteria:

  • There is a proven history of working to improve electrical safety within the organisation.
  • The organisation can demonstrate a track record of delivering successful projects.
  • A clear plan and budget are in place, demonstrating how funds will be spent effectively.
  • There is clarity on how the project will directly benefit people in need and have a lasting impact.
  • The organisation has an online presence and digital footprint, such as a website and social media accounts, so that we can clearly see the impact your organisation makes.

Grant amount: A total of £1 million is available. Grants of up to £10,000 are available.
