Aims/priorities: The funding is intended to support delivery of a programme that combines gaming-based activities with structured wellbeing and confidence-building support. The programme will help participants build friendships and positive social connections, primarily through in-person activities in youth settings supported by trusted adults.
The successful applicant will be required to provide regular progress reports to DCMS, support programme evaluation activities, and work collaboratively with the independent evaluator appointed by DCMS.
Who can apply? Applications will be accepted from:
- VCSE sector organisations
- Community Interest Companies (CICs)
- Local Authorities, schools and multi-academy trusts (MATs)
Grant amount: Up to £773,000 is available for the pilot, including up to £648,000 for programme delivery, with a safe, moderated online element to help engage participants who may be less comfortable with face-to-face activities.
