Community Activities
We have a new group called Alive! which will run on Wednesdays from 6.30 – 8.00pm. The group is for
9-13 year olds (school years 5/6-8) with lots of games, fun and activities so spread the word!
The Cascade drop in is open to anybody and is a place to meet and enjoy different activities that are free to all. The session is run by volunteers in the church , Tuesday 1:00pm-4:00pm. Its a great friendly atmosphere and here are some of the activities.

Scouts aims to build and develop young people’s confidence, sense of adventure and outdoor skills, as well as encouraging them to explore their beliefs and attitudes and be creative. It offers them the independence to put these skills into practice at camps and even on international trips.

The Luncheon club is where people come together and meet to talk and have some lunch prepared by the team. Its a great session for building on confidence.
The quiz is organised daily for anyone to attend to have some fun and a tea/coffee in a relaxed environment. Please phone Iris for confirmation of this activity.
The session involves people coming together to try some gentle exercise and play different games such as curling on a carpet to work on co-ordination and ability. Its a great group to be involved in for socialising.
Dementia Warriors café is where people effected by dementia come to together to have a cup of tea and a chat in a friendly environment

New Hope Men's Group meet every Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene. We offer games, pool, table tennis and something to eat. (Ashton-under-Lyne)
A friendly independent social group for persons living with dementia and their carers. Weekly Monday Club 1pm to 3pm (closed Bank Holidays) at Denton Methodist Church Hall with live singer, dancing, bingo, quiz and refreshments. £3 donation on door.
Weekly training for both men & women. Both none and members can attend the session.
Dementia Bowling, once a month.
A group of like-minded men, who get together to play cards, pool, darts, and have a general chinwag. It's open for men of all ages (18+) and it’s to have a break from the wives!
We meet every Monday from 10am to 12pm at the community hub in Hattersley, it's £2 per session.
