We're creating a 'craft garden' at the Wildbrook Community Food and Growing Hub, growing plants that can be used in Green Creations creative workshops. We'll be planting seeds and propogating plants that can be dried, used for printing or creating natural dyes. We want the garden to be beautiful and useful and would love to involve the community in helping us create this space. Sessions are suitable for experienced gardeners and newbies who have never had an opportunity to garden before. We will be teaching basic horticulture skills, as well as opportunities to engage with nature and learn about wildflowers and wildlife. There will also be an opportunity to engage in practical and creative activities to help decorate the garden, such as assisting with making garden signage and structures.
