• The Christmas Shindig 2022

You are invited to our Christmas Shindig! The Upstanding Citizens Bureau is a creative mental health and wellbeing community club in Oldham. We hope you'll join us for relaxed festive food, games, and company on the 18th of Dec. This is the perfect event to attend to meet fellow upstanding citizens and see what we get up to in our little safe space. Our Christmas party is designed for anyone who is separated or estranged from family or loves ones, is unconventional in their socialising, struggles with large crowds, alcohol, or noise, or just fancies getting out of the house and trying something new. It's a small venue attracting a small group. Come any time you like, and leave when you like. No pressure to join in. We're a friendly, welcoming bunch. It wont be TOO christmasy either. supervised children/teens are welcome to attend with parents/carers, as are quiet and well behaved pooches, but the event is designed for adults to socialise at. About the host organisation

Hosted by: The Upstanding Citizens Bureau
    Organisation Profile:

The Upstanding Citizens Bureau is a new creative mental health and wellbeing community group and venue located in Oldham, off Shaw Rd.

The UCB provides a safe space for people to meet-up, spend time with likeminded folk, and work on projects together.

The space can be used for counselling, running workshops and focus groups, fleeing turbulence, attending peer-support meet-ups, acessable events such as Barking Tales comedy night and other forms of entertainment peacefully and safely.

The Upstanding Citizens Bureau uses people’s experiences as expertise - It is owned and ran by the communities that it benefits and it is a disabled person lead non-profit. We work alongside organisations that have a positive impact in peoples futures; building a network for peer a support and utilisation.
