Communities and Housing Investment in People (CHIP) Community Chest Fund

Aims/priorities: The funding is for local groups and organisations that are known to Social Housing providers that are a member of CHIC for projects that benefit their local community, by improving community wellbeing and creating social value.

The funding will support a range of initiatives, including:

  • Social and community development.
  • Health and wellbeing.
  • Avoiding crime and promoting justice.
  • Pre-employment support through education and skills.
  • Environmental sustainability.

Who can apply? The following types of organisations can apply, including but are not limited to:

  • Community groups
  • Charities
  • Social enterprises
  • Community Interest Companies (CICs)
  • Uniformed groups
  • Sports club.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Have a bank account in the group's name.
  • Be able to provide details of Social Housing Providers, that are CHIC members, who are aware of their existence and activities.
  • Be requesting funding for a project that supports social inclusion, supporting CHIC’s Social Value strategy.

Grant amount: The maximum grant per organisation per year is £5,000.

This can be for one or multiple projects.
