ArtRoots Fund England

Aims/priorities: This funding is for communities in England to make artistic or aesthetic improvements to traffic-free paths on the National Cycle Network route in England, and ultimately encourage more active travel on the network by walking or cycling.

Communities need to manage the project and shapes the outcome. Engaging and delivering locally is essential to a successful project. Communities play a crucial role in encouraging active travel by making areas more enjoyable or interesting to travel through. 

Who can apply? 

  • Constituted community groups based in England can apply.

Applications from individuals and other community-based groups or organisations, including non-constituted groups, may be considered at the discretion of Walk Wheel Cycle Trust.

Grant amounts: Grants of £2,500 are available.

Grants of of up to £6,000 are available for projects which can demonstrate significantly increased outcomes.
