We were excited to once again host our annual 'Thank You Day' celebration for our wonderful team at Action Together, as a token of our appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the sector.
Thank You Day is an occasion that brings together millions of people across the UK to celebrate and give thanks to those that go above and beyond for us. We at Action Together also wanted to join the celebrations and take the opportunity to recognise the contribution of our much valued team and host an extra special Thank You Day at Stamford Park.
All staff members were invited to finish work early and spend the sunny Friday afternoon together, to wind down and relax at the Thank You Day celebration event.
A delicious picnic buffet was enjoyed at the Highfield Pavilion, followed by a calming wellbeing walk led by a member of our Social Prescribing team. Staff also opted to join in a quiz, played games in the field or simply sit in the sun and socialise with their peers.
Special awards were given to staff who had reached a landmark year of service with Action Together, including two of our team members being given awards for an incredible 20 years of service!
Thank You postcards were given to staff with a gracious message from Liz Windsor-Welsh, Action Together CEO, extending her personal thanks and appreciation,
"Thank you for bringing your energy and passion to your work, and doing it in a way that embodies our values! It’s that, I believe, that sets us apart from other organisations and has led to the amazing work you’ve achieved this year.
Action Together is a part of a bigger movement, working alongside other impressive people and communities who are striving for change too. I don't underestimate the commitment it takes to be part of the invisible glue that brings things together, working in a way that lets others shine for the bigger cause.
Achieving the quality award for infrastructure this year helps us to demonstrate some of our impact to others but it has also been amazing to see all the ways you’ve creatively told the stories, produced videos and stood in front of new audiences to share the difference that our work makes.
Action Together is all the stronger because of you, and that helps us to be in a really good position to continue our leadership and action when things feel tough both for the communities we care so much about and around the world.

The Thank You Day celebration event was a wonderful way for staff to connect with each other and for Action Together to highlight our immense appreciation.
