Leading lively, engaging, and inclusive Bounce and Rhyme sessions Tuesday 1pm at Crompton Library. Volunteers will create a warm and welcoming space for babies, toddlers, parents, and carers, using songs, movement, and simple play activities to support early communication, confidence, and early literacy. Volunteers should feel comfortable leading well‑known nursery rhymes and children’s songs, and will be provided with any props needed for each session.

- Tasks: Lead weekly Bounce and Rhyme sessions, including singing, rhymes, actions, and simple movement activities.
Welcome families and help create a friendly, safe, and supportive atmosphere for all attendees.
Set up and pack away any resources, mats, instruments, or props used during sessions.
Model positive participation, encouraging parents and carers to engage with their children throughout the session.
Support early literacy, helping children develop rhythm, communication skills, and confidence through music and rhyme.
Work with library or centre staff to highlight services, signpost families to further support and activities, and help shape future Bounce and Rhyme sessions.
Ensure safeguarding principles are followed, reporting any concerns to staff as appropriate.
Maintain accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring sessions are enjoyable and suitable for all families.
Time commitments:
Tuesdays, 1pm
Approximately 1 hour for the session, plus around 10 minutes for setup and pack away. - Training: Crompton Library will provide resources but volunteers should know basic nursery rhymes and songs
