Oldham Library is looking for a couple of dedicated and consistent volunteers to support us in growing and maintaining our staff garden!
If you enjoy spending time outdoors, don’t mind getting your hands dirty, and are happy to work regardless of the weather, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Your commitment and love for gardening will make a real difference. If you’re reliable, passionate, and ready to get involved, we’d love to hear from you!

- Tasks: We would like you to:
Maintain and improve the garden space through planting and pruning ect,
Work independently in the garden space, taking initiative to maintain and improve the area
Follow a risk assessment and health and safety polices that will be provided to ensure safe working practices
Have flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Commit to volunteering on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on your availability
Bring some knowledge of gardening to support the tasks at hand
Be open to working alongside other volunteers, with the potential to take on a leadership role in the future - Training: Support in the garden from resident gardener Jo
