We are looking for a volunteer to run activity sessions, bringing our residents together from across our 4 extra care services for older people in Tameside. Volunteering with Creative Support is a great way to enrich the lives of people with support needs while helping our staff to deliver person-centred services.
We are looking for a creative person with strong communication and leadership skills. You will consult the people we support and plan a programme of activities in line with their interests. Sessions could include arts and crafts, music, games etc. If this sounds like something you would enjoy and you have a few hours to spare on a regular basis, we’d love to hear from you!
You will work with staff to promote activities to the people we support. You will plan for sessions in advance, preparing any necessary materials and/or equipment, and lead the activities, making them accessible for everyone.
Our Tameside extra care services provide person-centred care to older people with support needs. Our services are easily accessible via public transport.
