Soul Sisters is a volunteer-led organisation supporting women and families affected by domestic abuse. We raise awareness through community events, creative activities, peer support, and advocacy. Our events bring people together, raise much-needed funds, and help us build connections across the borough.
Role Overview
We’re looking for reliable, friendly volunteers who can support Soul Sisters at events. This could include helping set up, speaking to attendees, distributing materials, collecting donations, or assisting with creative/family activities. You’ll be an important part of creating a welcoming, positive presence in the community.
Key information

- Volunteer: Weekly
- Tasks: Setting up and packing down equipment and displays
Staffing Soul Sisters stalls at community events or fundraisers
Handing out leaflets or talking to attendees about our services and volunteer opportunities
Supporting activities like raffles, crafts, refreshments, games, etc.
Helping with registration, donation buckets, or information collection
Being a friendly, welcoming face representing Soul Sisters - Training: You’ll receive:
A full induction to Soul Sisters and your role
Basic training on domestic abuse awareness and how to represent Soul Sisters at events
Clear instructions before each event and on-the-day support
Access to team briefings, wellbeing sessions, and peer support - Requirements: Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
