Oldham Community Safety & Cohesion Partnership have agreed a grant investment from the Standing Together Community Grant Fund to enable VCFSE groups & organisations who support victims & families affected by domestic violence & abuse to continue to provide support in the absence of other funding streams.
The grant funding available is invested in community organisations via the active members of the Network to enable those organisations to continue to support women & families affected by domestic abuse. Investing through the network will reduce competition & strengthen collaboration across the network & will ensure that the grant funding is used to support the grass-roots (non-commissioned) organisations ability to react and respond to the needs of the women they support.
The groups in the network have shared the experiences of the women & families they are supporting with the impact of domestic abuse & have developed a shared sense of the priorities that women experiencing domestic abuse have & the types of support that they have been seeking from women’s community organisations. This insight has shaped the principles for investment of the Standing Together Grant Monies.
