Rathbone Training is a British youth charity that transforms the lives of young people through learning with centres in England, Scotland, and Wales, we reach over 5,000 people each year. As you know Rathbone Training has a major presence in the Greater Manchester Area.
Our founder, Elfrida Rathbone, believed that ‘All children can learn’ and was a pioneering campaigner for children’s rights. She particularly championed the right of children with learning difficulties to receive an education. Today we continue her work, helping young people across Britain make positive life choices and improve their lives through work based learning.
We deliver a wide range of programmes for young people aged 16 to 23 years old and these focus on developing their employability skills by delivering qualifications in a variety of subjects to develop their knowledge and skills, accessing work experience, participating in social action projects and improving Maths and English skills. We also offer apprenticeships in a range of employment sectors and run specialist provision for young people aged 14+ who are partially or fully excluded from school. We run a number of street level outreach projects to engage young people who are not in education, employment or training.
Rathbone are seeking to partner with organisations who work with young people in order to support young people to achieve their full potential. If you are interested in exploring opportunities for collaborative working please contact:
