What is the Open Space?
The Oldham Live Well Open Space is an hour online every 6 weeks, offering opportunity for everyone working alongside residents in Oldham to Live Well to connect and learn together.
Live Well is Oldham’s commitment to ensuring great everyday support is available in every neighbourhood. It represents a shift in how public services work with people and communities.
Led by communities, public services will develop connected support, opportunities and help, focused on reducing inequalities. Shifting spending and effort from crisis to prevention and creating the conditions for people to thrive, Live Well is rooted in communities’ everyday lives.
Current areas of development and collaboration
The Live Well Open Space was launched in May – where we spent time together building our understanding of the Live Well Approach.
In June’s Open Space we came together in smaller breakout rooms discussing what matters most to us about Live Well in our work, and if we could achieve just one thing through Live Well what that thing would be.
Future Open Space Sessions will be focusing on themes like, community power, Live Well Centres and Spaces, and prevention at the heart of everything we do.
