Full job description
Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced support worker who is ready to take the next step into a Scheme Coordinator role while continuing to work directly with residents.
This is not a management-only position. The successful candidate must have strong frontline support work experience, including managing a caseload and developing effective support plans that help clients overcome the barriers preventing them from moving forward in their lives.
You will lead the day-to-day running of the scheme while also maintaining your own reduced caseload and delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
About the Role

We are specifically looking for someone who understands how to:
- Build professional and trusting relationships with vulnerable adults
- Identify the underlying issues affecting a client’s progress
- Develop realistic, outcome-focused support plans
- Motivate and support residents toward independence
- Manage challenging behaviours calmly and professionally
- Work in a trauma-informed and person-centred way
Essential Experience
Applicants must have previous experience:
- Working in supported accommodation, homelessness services, or a similar support setting
- Managing a caseload of clients with varying support needs
- Creating and reviewing support plans and risk assessments
- Supporting clients with issues such as homelessness, mental health, substance misuse, offending history, or tenancy readiness
- Recording accurate case notes and professional documentation
- Delivering structured key work sessions focused on progression and outcomes
Management or supervisory experience is important, but strong support work experience is essential.
