We are recruiting for two Mental Health Practitioner posts:
- Safe Zones Mental Health Practitioner (Fixed-term maternity cover)
- Integrated Community Response (ICR) Practitioner
About the roles:
ICR (Integrated Community Response)
ICR mental health practitioners provide de-escalation and early intervention support to Young People experiencing high levels of distress in the community. Our ICR team are co-located with Early Help Teams across Salford and Manchester.
The Integrated Community Response Post is based on Salford and is 3 days a week (22.5 hours).
Safe Zones (Maternity Cover)
Safe Zones is part of the Greater Manchester Crisis Care Pathway, delivered across Manchester, Salford, and Trafford.
Safe Zones mental health practitioners provide de-escalation and early intervention support in the community to Young People (up to the age of 18) experiencing high levels of distress who have previously accessed other parts of the crisis care pathway.
The Safe Zones post is based in Manchester, Full time maternity cover (37.5 Hours a week).
Both posts may also require the applicants to be able to travel to see young people across Manchester, Salford and Trafford and require travel to 42nd Streets main premises in Manchester.
This role could be for you if you are:
- Passionate about supporting young people who have experienced a mental health crisis.
- Providing short term, solution focused de-escalation support.
- Providing meaningful support that promotes choice and empowers young people, enabling positive experiences of crisis support.
We are looking for applicants who can offer:
- Young Person-centred approach to your Mental Health practice,
- Support to Young People in crisis or distress, with a solution-focused approach.
- Passion for supporting inclusive and anti-discriminatory best practice.
- Excellent diligence in safeguarding and record keeping.
- Deliver confidential and accountable practice.
- Transferable skills from previous experience as a Youth Worker; Social Worker, Teacher; Counsellor; MHP in child and adult services; etc.
Roles available: 1 x Safezones MHP role & 1 x ICR MHP role
