Job: Support Worker

Do you have the skills, experience and passion needed to support adults who have experienced homelessness? Emmaus Mossley is currently recruiting for a new Support Worker to provide structured, person-centred support within our residential community.

About Emmaus Mossley

Emmaus Mossley is a charity that empowers people to overcome homelessness for good. We provide people with the foundation of a home and life-changing tailored support.

We’re here for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. We see the person and their strengths – and help them get their life back on track, based on the future they want to create. When people are ready, we support them to find, secure and move in to their own permanent home.

Nestled in the Tame Valley, our residential community is home for up to 26 people at any one time. Our residents have a home, a purpose and a chance to make a real contribution to their community.

About the role

As Support Worker, you will deliver structured, person-centred support to adults within our residential community. As part of a committed team, you will work with each individual, helping them move forward positively in their lives whilst fostering a culture of personal development and progression.

The role will involve identifying support needs, promoting good health and wellbeing, and developing people’s skills and experience to achieve independence and positive, self-sustaining futures.

We are seeking someone with proven experience supporting a range of adults with diverse needs. Applicants will have a fundamental belief in the potential of every person and an understanding of the importance of community in helping people achieve their potential.
