Aims/priorities: Oldham’s Town of Culture Micro Commissions support artists, individuals, and organisations to develop new work—whether that’s a new concept, a workshop, a performance, or a collaboration. These commissions provide investment and the chance to showcase work as part of Oldham’s GM Town of Culture year, enriching festivals, events, and community activity across the borough.
Examples might be:
- Performances (e.g., circus, dance, digital media, installations, music, theatre, walkabout)
- Workshops (e.g., crafts, performing arts, music, painting, spoken word, creative writing)
- Exhibitions, digital media, installations
Who can apply? Rising up priorities are Young People, South Asian Families, People Seeking Sanctuary.
Projects should celebrate heritage, diversity, and pride of place in Oldham.
Grant amount: Each commission can apply for £500 – £3000, in support of their project.
