Aims/priorities: Tameside Council’s Employment & Skills team is inviting local organisations to bid for funding through the Economic Inactivity Trailblazer Programme.
This initiative aims to pilot innovative, community-based offers that help residents who are not in employment, not actively seeking/starting work to start moving towards or back into work. This includes people with a health barrier, caring responsibilities (including looking after family, other dependants or the home) and those discouraged or lacking confidence to find work.
Successful bids will deliver:
- Outreach and engagement activities in St Peter’s Ward (e.g. drop-ins, pop-up events, wellbeing, or volunteer projects).
Job clubs or similar peer-led hubs in St Peter’s Ward that build skills, confidence, and signpost participants to relevant training or employment
Who can apply? The primarily focus is on supporting residents in St Peter’s Ward, although we acknowledge that support may naturally extend locations for operational reasons.
Grant amount: Not specified.
