Black Cat Poets started in 2016 with the intention of bringing poetry out of the city centre to local venues. Since then local residents in Denton and beyond have met regularly on a monthly basis to share their poetry, hear well established poets read from their work and have an opportunity to express themselves through writing in a supportive environment. Membership is free and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly...you definitely don't need to be a poetry expert to join and you don't have to read if you don't want to....some members just come to listen and make new friends.
