Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support museums with core activities, enabling them to care for collection’s more effectively and efficiently and to meet the standards required for Accreditation.
Who can apply? To apply, groups must:
- Be an AIM member.
- Be a UK registered charity, an organisation with exempt charitable status, or a recognised public body, ie a local authority museum.
- Be a small or medium museum with fewer than 50,000 visitors per annum.
- Own the collections that are the focus of the project.
Grant amount: Grants of up to £20,000 are available.
Application process: There is a two-stage application process:
- Group must first submit an expression of interest (EOI) form. The deadlines to submit an EOI are as follows:
- Spring Round - 7 February 2025
- Autumn Round - 8 August 2025.
- Successful applicants will then be invited to submit a full application. The deadlines to submit a full application are as follows:
- Spring Round - 28 March 2025.
- Autumn Round - 26 September 2025.
