As a Fundraising Committee Member, you will help us plan and deliver fundraising activity that brings in sustainable income, builds community support, and strengthens our long-term future. This is a practical, ideas-led role where you will play a real part in helping animals in need.

- Availability: Monday PM, Monday Evening, Tuesday PM, Tuesday Evening, Wednesday PM, Wednesday Evening, Thursday PM, Thursday Evening, Friday PM, Saturday AM, Saturday PM
- Tasks: Attend fundraising committee meetings (typically every 1 - 2 months, online in the evening on a set date)
Help plan and deliver fundraising campaigns, appeals and events
Generate and develop fundraising ideas. From small community activities to larger initiatives
Support with event planning (e.g. raffles, quizzes, coffee mornings, themed nights, seasonal campaigns)
Help identify and approach potential supporters, donors and local businesses
Assist with fundraising communications. Helping shape messages, posters, and social media content
Support donation and fundraising admin where needed (e.g. tracking income, collecting funds, keeping records)
Contribute to fundraising planning and targets, helping the charity stay financially stable
Work collaboratively with trustees, volunteers and shop teams to maximise fundraising opportunities
You don’t need to do everything. We’ll agree what you’re comfortable taking on. - Training: A full welcome and induction to Pennine Pen Animal Rescue
An introduction to how the rescue and charity shops operate
Basic fundraising guidance, including what good practice looks like
Support to understand fundraising rules and charity compliance
Possible DBS check due to events potentially attending. - Requirements: Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
