Join us for a day of tree planting and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!
We are planting trees in response to the climate and biodiversity emergency . They create healthier, happier communities, tackle the climate crisis head on, reconnect us to our natural world, and provide essential habitats for wildlife.
Key information
- Start Date: 11th February 2026
- End Date: 11th February 2026
- Volunteer: Weekly
- Availability: Wednesday AM, Wednesday PM
- Tasks: All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for all ages.
Tasks volunteers will be required to do:
- Remove small amounts of vegetation using hand tools (shears, grass hooks, etc.)
- Plant trees.
- Guard trees against deer using deer guards and stakes.
- Mulch trees using mulch mats and woodchip. - Requirements: Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
