Job Title: Welfare Benefits Advice Worker
Salary: £27,500 FTE (Actual £13,750)
Hours: 17.5 hours per week
Location: Hybrid (majority building-based in Moss Side likely) with some home working
Contract: Until April 2026, with potential for continuance until April 2029
Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People (GMCDP) is seeking two practical, committed, and values-led Welfare Benefits Advice Workers to deliver rights-based advice to Disabled People in Manchester.
GMCDP is an organisation run and controlled 100% by Disabled People, promoting inclusion and challenging discrimination.
Essential Requirements:
- This post is open to Disabled People only (self-definition).
- At least one year's experience (paid or unpaid) in a Welfare advice work setting.
- Knowledge of the Welfare Benefit System, general debt, and housing issues.
- A clear commitment to supporting and advocating for positive change for Disabled People.
