Community Explorers - Central (Alexandra, Coldhurst and St Mary's)

The purpose of these gatherings is to enable voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector groups and organisations within our local communities to come together and strengthen our collective voice.

By joining us, you can:

• Share information and make ‘asks and offers’ to peer organisations.

• Develop new ideas and connections to spark local collaboration.

• Find out what else is happening in your area and stay informed.

• Meet those in the know and get direct support from the Action Together team.

By using your unique knowledge, skills, and networks, we are better able to raise awareness of the ongoing experiences and issues that affect local people. These sessions also provide a vital space to develop collaboration between the VCFSE sector and our public sector partners.

Special Topic for this Session: We will be discussing the Greater Manchester State of the Sector Survey and why it is important for our area and the work we do. This vital piece of research directly shapes future funding, policy, and support for groups like yours across the Oldham Borough.

If there is anything specific you would like to discuss or a particular challenge you are facing, please let me know. I will be sure to add it to our very loose agenda so we can make sure the conversation is as helpful as possible for you.
