Power to the People: East Oldham Live Well event

Join us to hear from the applicants and have your say about who should receive how much money to support their work.

Meet friends and neighbours and enjoy some light refreshments.

We welcome those who live or work in East Oldham*.

East Oldham district covers the Council Wards of St James, Waterhead, Saddleworth North, Saddleworth South, Saddleworth West and Lees.

What will happen at the event?

Voluntary and community groups, faith groups and social businesses have all asked for investment in their work in East Oldham that supports the wellbeing of residents, whether that's their physical or mental health, bringing people together to reduce isolation, providing more access to green spaces or supporting them with issues that impact on their wellbeing. Each organisation has been invited to explain how a £1000, £2000 and £5000 investment could support their work.

At the event you will hear short pitches from each group and have an opportunity to look at some information from the groups and ask them questions, in a relaxed and informal environment while enjoying some locally produced food and music.

You will then be able to vote for who you think should receive the most investment to support their work.

Those coming and voting should either live or work in East Oldham.
