The Skelton Charity 2022

Aims/priorities: Grants are available for registered charities in the North West of England working to provide greater opportunities for and improve the lives of children, the elderly and the disabled and their carers.  The Trustees are also willing to consider particular needs caused by the Covid19 pandemic and by adapting to new ways of working. Grants are not made to individuals. Grants are not generally made for salaries or other recurring costs. Applications from charities in successive years are not viewed favourably. The Trustees do not usually fund large building appeals or revenue expenditure.

Who can apply? Grants are awarded:

  • normally only to registered charities
  • to charities operating within the eligible geographical boundaries
  • for one-off expenditure
  • for projects or capital expenditure (this could include sessional costs and volunteer costs)
  • to charities focussed on good causes
