Tameside Council Community Safety Dept would like to invite you and colleagues to a briefing session in relation to SPICE.
This session will be introductory in nature and will be delivered on Friday 22 September, in the Newton Suite, Hyde Town Hall between 9.30 and 11.30am
The presentation will be in the main done by PC Andy Costello who works in the city and has done work for some years with the University around SPICE so is good font of knowledge.
Following this presentation they will explore any further smaller group sessions that may be needed at a later date that are more bespoke to specific issues or areas of work.
The contents of the presentation are:
- Spice-
- What is it?
- What are its effects?
- What are the offences and penalties?
- What effects are we seeing in Manchester
- What can you do to help if you come across a person under the influence.
There will be a representative from the Tameside divisional police so that any issues or questions in relation to your locality can either be answered or taken away and developed for local knowledge.
