Tameside Voluntary Sector Summit April 2025
The focus of our Summit in April is Live Well.
Live Well is Greater Manchester approach to community led health and wellbeing and is part of Andy Burnham’s Manifesto and that “everyone in every community to have daily access to support and advice to improve their physical and mental health and socio-economic status”.
In Tameside we are one of the Accelerator sites for Live Well, and we have been working with Voluntary Sector leaders, and Tameside Population Health to gather stories that showcase the leading role the VCFSE sector plays in community led prevention.
We want to invite you to be part of this journey, and work with us to co-design Community-led Wellbeing principles, that describe the behaviours, values and hopes of the VCFSE sector and our contribution to keeping residents healthy and well, within the wider Tameside system.
We are also delighted to be launching our Tameside Communities Fund at the Summit.
The Tameside Communities Fund is the strategic investment fund for the VCFSE sector in Tameside and will bring together internal and external funding to invest in community led prevention. The fund will strengthen new and existing community led prevention and reduce inequalities, supporting local people to live healthier and happier lives.
At the conference we will:
- Share the stories collated through Live Well so far and hear from you and how your group / organisation supports people to live well in Tameside
- Co-design the Community Led Wellbeing Principles which will be used as part of Tameside Public Sector system priorities
- Launch the Tameside Communities Fund, details on the fund priorities, when and how your group can apply
- Share our new storytelling toolkit and provide some practical tools and tips to creating your own stories
