Rochdale Neighbourhood Networks

Delivered in partnership with Public Health, our Action Together Neighbourhood Networks are a space in each township, bringing together public sector, VCFSE sector and community leaders to connect, build relationships and take action on shared local challenges.

Throughout September 2023, we held an initial launch programme in Heywood, Pennines, Middleton, and Rochdale, welcoming attendees from across the Borough.

These spaces will allow us to build relationships between people who care about, and are working on, prevention in a neighbourhood, so that we can influence local decisions and tackle issues together. These meetings will be our first step towards having a stronger voice in influencing. The Networks will run four times a year to build local cross-sector relationships.

Summary of our January 2024 Networks

Our second round of Neighbourhood Networks, in January 2024, focused on the question "What problem could we solve collectively that would make the biggest difference?". Each of our sessions across the Borough were well attended by participants from both the VCFSE and statutory sectors and the discussions, insight and relationship building was invaluable.

We will be sharing all of the insights gathered at the Neighbourhood Networks at the local Neighbourhood Meetings, which bring together decision makers in each township. At these meetings we hope to influence local decision makers to understand, and maximise, community assets, and actively listen to and address the community's voice.

Here are the summary reports from each of our January 2024 Networks:
