Earthquake in Turkey and Syria

A series of devastating earthquakes have hit southern Turkey and north-west Syria killing tens of thousands of people and injuring many more.

A number of appeals are being set up in response. Here's how you can help.

Disaster Emergency Committee Appeal - An appeal has been launched by the UK's Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) to help hundreds of thousands of people affected by earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria. The UK government will match the first £5m of donations from the public. Money raised will also provide blankets, warm clothes and heaters for safe spaces.

UNICEF - In Syria, UNICEF are working to ensure access to clean water, and seeking to secure children’s safety and wellbeing. In Türkiye, UNICEF have mobilised vital emergency supplies and ensured access to safe spaces for children and families.

Syria Relief - Teams are mobilising on the ground in response to the disaster. With your support, they can ensure that life-saving aid reaches those in need.

Action For Humanity - Providing emergency shelter, hot meals, emergency kits and fuel.
