Hinrichsen Foundation

Aims/priorities: The Hinrichsen Foundation offers grants to support organisations and individuals undertaking projects to promote music.

Who can apply? Individuals, organisations and charities in the UK are eligible to apply.

Grant amount: There are two levels of funding available:

  • One-off small grants typically between £500 and £2,500 (for new applicants and former beneficiaries).
  • Larger projects or concert series generally £2,000 and over.

Multi-year partnerships may be considered.

British Gas Energy Trust

Aims/priorities: The Trust currently offers two funds:

  • Individuals and Families Fund
  • British Gas Energy Support Fund

Both are intended to tackle fuel poverty by clearing the energy debts of struggling households and respond to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

Ulverscroft Foundation

Aims/priorities: The Foundation provides grants to eye clinics, hospitals, schools, libraries and other organisations helping visually impaired people in the UK and overseas. It also funds medical research and the provision of facilities for the treatment or alleviation of visual impairment.

Who can apply? Applications are accepted from any organisations that help the visually impaired in the UK or overseas. Organisations need not necessarily be a charity and can be a community interest company (CIC) or social group and could include:

Peter Harrison Foundation - Active Lives Grant Programme

Aims/priorities:  The Peter Harrison Foundation supports projects working with children, young people and adults who are disadvantaged or with disabilities. It offer small and major grants to charities and community amateur sports clubs in the UK and south east of England under the following two grant programmes:

Ironmongers’ Company – Charitable Grants for STEM Projects

Aims/priorities: Funding is intended to support charities in the UK with projects to encourage young people, in particular those between 11 and 18 from disadvantaged backgrounds, to study science subjects and go on to further education or training in STEM related subjects, in particular the area of Material Science. The Foundation considers Materials Science to be science applied to understanding the production, properties and engineering applications of materials. This may be considered from the perspective of physics, chemistry, mathematics or vocational studies.

Hubbub – Nature Hubs Fund

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support groups to create or enhance green spaces within a 5-kilometre radius of Starbucks stores that bring people closer to nature and align with the following criteria:

Joseph Rowntree Foundation Storytellers Fund 2024

Aims/priorities:

The Storytellers Fund was launched in 2023 to support those aiming to inspire change to share their content more widely and reach new audiences. The goal is to support the spread of stories that diversify the pool of storytellers and content creators who are shaping the conversations around our politics and culture. The aim is to promote transformative narratives and help build a better future for all.
