National Lottery Awards for All England – Environment

Aims/priorities: The funding is for projects that meet one or both of these aims:

  • Help people connect with and care for nature in their area.
  • Make a positive difference to the environment.

The funding can be used to:

  • Start a new activity or continue an existing one.
  • Help organisations adapt to new challenges.
  • Run one-off events that have a clear environmental benefit.

All projects must benefit the local community and involve local people from the start.

BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme

Aims/priorities: BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme supports children and young people who are facing exceptionally difficult circumstances. This Fund is administered by Family Fund Business Services.

This programme provides items for the most basic needs of vulnerable children and young people who may be:

Islamic Relief UK Grants Programme

Aims/Priorities: This fund aims to support projects that empower and increase support for marginalised and vulnerable people and their communities across the following themes:

  • Build greater resilience to poverty.
  • Combat challenges faced by women.
  • Supporting refugees and asylum-seeking populations.
  • Promote and facilitate the development of young people and their families.

Who can apply? Organisations with charitable purposes can apply, such as:

Aims/Priorities: The scheme is intended to support registered charities in the UK that are undertaking charitable projects in at least one of the following fields:

  • Quaker Work and Witness.
  • Environmental Action and Sustainability.
  • Peace and Reconciliation.
  • Social Action.

Who can apply? Charities registered in the UK can apply.

Charities should be working in at least one of the following four areas:

Clarion Futures – Making a Difference Fund

Aims/priorities: This fund aims to support community projects that celebrate, commemorate, and increase connections to the places they live. 

Who can apply? The following can apply:

  • Constituted community groups.
  • Registered charities.
  • Companies that are limited by guarantee.
  • PTA or friends of school groups.
  • Social enterprises.
  • Community interest companies (CICs).

Groups must provide:

Groundwork - One Stop Community Partnership Programme

Aims/priorities: The programme is designed to create a partnership of support to community groups, operating within two miles of a One Stop store, who are working to:

  • Tackle food poverty.
  • Support the vulnerable.
  • Support the elderly.
  • Support low income families.
  • Running youth sports teams.
  • Reducing/recycling waste
  • Improving the environment
